Sterling Volunteer Fire Department / Cascades Firechase 10K

Fire and rescue services in Loudoun County are provided through a combination system that includes nearly 500 career and more than 1,500 volunteer personnel.  The Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management, in conjunction with leadership of the volunteer component, coordinates Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) that include: emergency response; the administration and delivery of fire, EMS and related training; fire prevention and investigation; hazardous materials, wild land firefighting; and swift water rescue.

The Animal Medical Center of Cascades is proud to support our local volunteer fire department.  For the last several years AMC has donated to Cascades Firechase 10K Fun Run.  The race offers numerous amenities and is hosted by the Cascades Community Association for the benefit of the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company. The funds raised through sponsorship and entry fees help the Fire Company acquire much-needed equipment.
